leftover vase

h 40cm

this vase was made with leftover stoneware and porcelain parts.
the tenmoku-glazed base was supposed to be part of a large
sculpture that proved impossible to be fired.
the porcelain portion was a spare part for one of the
mushroom objects and the stoneware rim was made
to complete the piece in its new manifestation as a vase.
the components were simply stacked up and fired together
without being properly joined.
they have been fused into a watertight container
by the melting glazes.
